• Wrote and presented donor requests and reports on the full spectrum of UNICEF’s work in Kenya. This included gathering information, consolidation, editing and production of interim and final reports, as well as the production and dissemination of the Annual Report, the Humanitarian Action Report and the Consolidated Emergency Report.
• Worked with the Chief of Communication and Partnerships to identify and develop strong stories and feature ideas and helped pitch these to international media.
• Served as the Public Information focal point in the absence of the PI Officer. Prepared press
releases, media briefs, talking points, donor visibility materials and organized advocacy
campaigns.
• Contributed human interest features and multi-media content for the UNICEF-Kenya website.
• Supported the achievement of the office’s fundraising targets. Collated and edited funding proposals in collaboration with programme officers and the Deputy Special Representative.
• Monitored and followed-up on funding proposals to ensure that both OR and humanitarian funds were received in a timely manner and all donor agreements and MOUs met UNICEF requirements.
